2019 Conservation Partner Meetings

March and April, 2019

The Conservation Partner Meetings are designed to give us an opportunity to get together and talk about conservation programs, challenges, and opportunities. The agendas for the meetings were developed with your input and the discussion topics are below.

The meetings are open to conservation staff, members of the LCC, agency staff, and other interested conservation partners.

A registration fee of $10 will be charged to cover the cost of lunch.

Please register at least 7 days before the date of the meeting you plan to attend.

Agenda Topics (afternoon topics vary slightly by location)
9:00 - 9:30 Coffee and registration
9:30 - 12:00 Agency staffing/leadership updates
NR 151 implementation (case studies, evaluation, targeted standard)
Conservation practice tracking (DATCP, DNR, Counties)
Time for Q&A and discussion
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch provided for those who registered*
12:30 - 3:00 NRCS update and Q&A
Farmland Preservation compliance (updates and discussion)
Local ordinances: county-to-county discussion
Nutrient management (cost-sharing/training, 590 winter spreading plans)
Grant program updates (PLW, TRM, NOD)
Time for Q&A and discussion
