Volume 65 Number 5 Date 05/28/2020 SOYBEAN PESTS - Surveys in soybeans have not yet started as of May 28. According to the latest USDA-NASS crop report, 79% of the state's soybeans have been planted, 24 days ahead of last year and 13 days ahead of the 5-year average. Statewide, 25% of the crop has emerged. Soybean aphids are expected to begin colonizing VC and V1 fields in the next two weeks. -- Krista Hamilton, DATCP Entomologist
